Eider fight against cancer with Pink Ribbon

Eider for the first time t-shirt sponsor of the Zürich Pink Ribbon Charity Walk on 4th September in Zürich.

Sunday 4 September marked the 9th outing of the Pink Ribbon Charity Walk in Zürich with, for the first time, Eider as the sponsor of the event's pink shirts, designed especially for the occasion. With more than 5000 participants, the Charity Walk is one of the most important events of Pink Ribbon Switzerland.

The theme of breast cancer associated with prevention, care and support for those affected and their families is an important topic that concerns us all. In line with the Eider brand slogan: 'Look Good, Feel Good', we wish to contribute through our commitment to ensuring that those affected can feel good despite all the limitations imposed by the illness. We are thoroughly convinced that sporting activity is an important component in recovery.”

When the starting pistol went off at 2:30 PM on Sunday, 5000 participants set off on a 4 km circuit through the Letzigrund Stadium and the surrounding districts, thereby making a clear statement that was not purely visual: a large proportion of the entry fees being channelled into future projects of Pink Ribbon Switzerland. Alongside the walk there was a busy supporting programme for participants and visitors. From 12:30 you could get into the mood for the walk with Zumba-Training, Zumba® Fitness Warm Up or Hip Hop–Training for children and teenagers with Curtis, the choreographer of DJ Bobo. Free drinks and snacks were available from the many food stands, and DJ Odile provided the musical entertainment. All participants also received a Give-Away-Bag with 17 generous gifts, all on top of the attractive Eider shirt!

We really appreciate the excellent partnership with Eider," says Nicole Zindel, Managing Director of 2C Communication GmbH, Pink Ribbon Switzerland, "and we really love the new Pink Ribbon Shirts! The Eider function shirts are not just great-looking, they're also really comfortable to wear, just like the motto says: 'Look good - Feel good'!” says Nicole Zindel, Manager of 2C Communication GmbH, Pink Ribbon Suisse.

The "Pink Ribbon" is today recognised worldwide as the symbol for breast cancer awareness. The goal is, together, to increase awareness of breast cancer, since there is hardly any other form of cancer where early detection is so important for the chances of recovery.
