Paul Stein is an ice, mixed, sport, and traditional climber based out of Utah , U.S.A. Specializing in mixed climbing, the winter is busy with first ascents and plenty of ice and mixed. 2006 Ouray , Colorado ice festival competition was a success, advancing through the opens into the finals to compete with some of the best mixed climbers in the world. First ascents up to the grade of M10, strong partnerships, and respect for the climbing community have solidified his presence as a climber.
Guiding and instruction are equally important and Paul remains active in these pursuits. Guiding courses, winter competitions, and as much climbing as possible are goals for 2007. Paul "PABLO" Stein is a member of the American Mountain Guides Association and is active in festivals, clinics, rendez-vous, and climbing related events representing Eider, La Sportiva and Black Diamond.

Pablo's focus is on single pitch mixed difficulty with multi-pitch thrown in for adventure. This will evolve as he further realizes his potential and experience.
