Xavier's been skiing for over 30 years! And the more winter seasons he experiences, the greater the urge to travel and devour the slopes. Despite his competitive background that's stayed with him from his alpine racing days, Xavier is more of a "free skier". He looks at the mountain from a broader perspective, distant from rules and regulations and closer to nature.
Just like "free" surfers who criss-cross the globe in search of hidden waves, he travels the planet with a photographer and cameraman in search of untouched snow and new ride spots. During extreme skiing competitions, he prefers to compete with his camera. Hence his list of achievements isn't really composed of podium places but rather of countries visited and photos published. And in this respect Xavier is one of the greatest. Indeed he has been one of the most published riders over the last few years. Over twenty articles (written by Xavier himself) have been published to his name, and this Autumn he celebrated his one hundredth photo publication.
Being a great lover of images, over the past two seasons Xavier has launched himself into film production. This winter he'll film his third work between Europe, Utah, Wyoming and Alaska. You can keep up to date with his trips right here in eider-world.com as the winter season progresses.
And once the snow melts, Xavier takes a look at the ocean to satisfy another of his passions: surfing.
