He became the first Dutchman to summit this mythical mountain. Arnold was the expedition leader of a hudge team composed of several nationalities. Arnold and his team had to wait a long time at base camp for a good weather opportunity. Due to bad weather, some members of the teams had to get back to Europe without any attempts to climb up the mountain. On the 21st of May, Arnold and his team get to camp 3 to be ready to catch the little opportunity to summit. They leave camp 3 on the 23rd to reach the top of the mountain on the 24th. Arnold is a regular from Himalayan summits. He also summited Cho Oyu (8201m) and Baruntze (7220m) this season. And it seems to be only the beginning of the story.
