After months of preparation, weeks of waiting and 11 days of trekking, Lionel Daudet and his team finally finished the longitudinal crossing of South Georgia.
The crossing was a human adventure into the heart of a territory in its natural condition where the team had to confront dangerous seas, nature at its wildest and inhospitable weather.
Georgia Sat marks the third time that the crossing of South Georgia has been completed, and on this occasion it was the most difficult itinerary and in record time!
Doctor Emmanuel Cauchy concludes:
"The expedition just completed took place, without a single detour, on the dreaded side of the island, between the southern face of Paget and the cold, wild coast, infamous as being pitiless towards any vessel that dare adventure there. That was a challenge in itself and I’m still coming to terms with the level of engagement that such an expedition requires."
Bravo to all the team for this original and difficult expedition!
