Be creative, reverse your style !

Puffy. Puffer. Puff…Whatever name you prefer to use for your down jacket, one thing is almost certain – it gets more play than any other item in your cold-weather wardrobe. Even in summer’s warmer months, if you’re in the mountains or near the coast, you occasionally find yourself grabbing that extra layer to make outdoor evenings more enjoyable.

So given their heavy rotation, it seemed like a no-brainer to design a concept that would allow people to mix things up a bit! Introducing the Twin Peaks series – a collection of reversible down insulated jackets for men and women, featuring a mix of unique prints and solids.

ALL ABOUT DESIGN

We know most people find themselves wearing their puffies both for mountain activities and for less adventurous, day-to-day warmth. While that may seem like a simple fact, for us, it can also serve as creative inspiration.
How can our designs reflect the individual?
How can we bring creativity into an otherwise practical item?
These are the things we ponder in the early design stages. It’s what makes Eider, Eider. And it’s how the Twin Peaks series came to be.

“We wanted people to be able to express their individuality, and adapt their style to their mood or location”,

says Twin Peaks product manager, Sylvie BOUVARD.

“There are a lot of micro downs out there…we wanted to design on that did more.”

THE DDTAILS

The mix of colors and prints pull inspiration from handmade crafts to natural landscapes.

The best-selling scratchy print for women, is intended to mimic the strokes of colored pencils or charcoal, while the geographic prints are the linear interpretation of mountain horizons. Ultra-plush 700 fill power duck down provides light, lofty, and compressible insulation, and is RDS certified, assuring responsible plucking. When on the go, the jackets can be stowed in the included storage sack and clipped to your pack or stuffed in luggage.

Keeping in line with the versatile, mountain-to-town spirit, one side of the jackets feature zipped pockets, while elasticated handwarmer pockets are on the other.

It would’ve been a cardinal sin not to carry the reversibility concept to one of our most popular items – the down skirt. Be it apres ski or running around town, most agree that winter’s coldest and dreariest days are made a little bit brighter with the Twin Peaks Skirt.

That, friends, is what you call a win-win.

"By pairing these pritns with easy-to-wear solids, we(re able to bring creativity and flavor to technical apparel without limiting its lifespan" , says Eider Brand Manager, Aurore Calmier.
